Company News NEW 2500 ton SMS Sutton Extrusion Press comes on line LEED HIMMEL is investing in the future and doing everything it can to control and improve in-house costs through efficiciency gains. We have announced the addition of a new 2500 ton Sutton Extrusion Press to our capabilities. This new press in located in a 25,000 square foot addition to our main plant on Leeder Hill Dr. and is expected to become operational in early to mid-December, 2001. We will gain capacity and capability with this addition since the new press is an 8" to 9" circle size as compared to our current 7" press. We have also recently added a 10 gun Nordson AUTOMATIC POWDER COATING line. This new line will allow LEED HIMMEL to offer very competitive powder coated pricing. Additionally, new powder formulation technology allows us to offer coatings which meet AAMA 2605 performance specifications along with 2604 specifications. Our fabrication capabilities are also now fully state of the art with CNC Waterjet cutting, Plasma cutting, ROUTER and PUNCHING equipment. Computerized SHEERING and FOLDING units augment fabrication capabilities. These give us a great combination of speed, accuracy and final product quality. Finishing capabilities allow for in-house processing of aluminum up to 33' long including Anodizing (Class II and I Clear, Class I Light / Medium / Dark Bronze and Black), Painting and Powder Coating. LEED HIMMEL INDUSTRIES, Inc. offers a complete range of standard and custom shapes in 6000 series alloys.
